My name is Timothy Montavon. I'm 16 and I throw the javelin in the U18 category. I've been passionate about athletics since I was 5. I compete for US Arnage (Sarthe) and, since September 2026, I've been training at the Pôle Espoir at CREPS Strasbourg on a sports-study programme.

In June 2026, I won the French UNSS high school title in Angoulême, then in July I became the French U18 runner-up at the Stade Charléty in Paris. In 2025, I claimed two national U16 wins in the javelin: the French UGSEL title and the French Leagues Cup in Lens, where I won the javelin for the Pays de la Loire team. My personal best is 58.61 m with the 700g javelin, set in Paris on 17 July 2026 at the French U*NXT Championships.

This 2026-2027 season, I'm devoting myself fully to the javelin, aiming to break the 65-metre barrier, and ideally 70 metres. I come from a family of athletes: my great-grandfather Roger Collas was a French champion, and the Coulaines stadium bears his name. Athletics is a family affair.
