Timothy Montavon — Javelin Thrower
My name is Timothy Montavon, I'm 15 years old and I'm a javelin thrower in the U18 category. Passionate about athletics since the age of 5, I'm a member of US Arnage (Sarthe, France) and I'm continuing my training at the Pôle Espoir in Poitiers, in a sport-studies program at Lycée Camille Guérin.
In 2025, I won two French U16 javelin titles: the UGSEL championship, and the League Cup in Lens with the Pays de la Loire team where I finished first in javelin. My personal record is 50.70m with the 700g javelin.
This 2025-2026 season, I'm fully dedicated to the javelin with the ambition of breaking the 60-meter barrier and earning a selection for the French national team. Coming from a family of athletes — my great-grandfather Roger Collas was a French champion and the Coulaines stadium bears his name — athletics runs in my blood.
